English	Hasami House is a design of space not a collection of rooms. We aim to create a richer environment focusing on the power of space and departing from the conventional idea. We are always in spaces which are literally areas of nothing formed by the surroundings. Therefore the quality of the space is greatly influenced by the design of the surrounding forms. There are no private rooms in Hasami House. As the owner's family is involved in scissor-making, the main interior space is composed of three walls with scissors as a motif. The space created by these distinctive lunar, diagonal and circular shapes create the spaces for everyday life.
Native	ハサミハウスは次の考え方を基に設計されています。 ※ 部屋の集合体ではなく、空間による住宅の構成。 一般的に住宅は、居間やキッチンそれに寝室や子供部屋といった個々の部屋の集合体と考えられています。その従来の考え方から一旦離れ、空間が持ち得る力を存分に活かして豊かな生活環境を創ることを目指しています。 私たちは常に空間に身を置いていますが、そもそも空間とは空っぽの間であり、その間は周辺の天井や壁によって形作られ、それらの構成方法によって空間の質は大きく左右されます。 ハサミハウスには個室はありません。施主の家系が代々ハサミ造りに携わっていることから、ハサミをモチーフにした3枚の壁によって主な室内空間が構成されています。月型・斜め・円型の特徴的なフォルムが創り出す空間が日々の生活を演出します。
