English	Mass-production provides a higher standard of quality and quantity but it also waists the cost of energy, resource, and transportation. Also, it doesn’t fulfill each need of consumers. PAPRIKA stool only requires small equipment to produce. And the materials are urethane foam and fabric covers, which is compact before it’s manufactured. So It will possible to produce the stool immediately after accepting an order in any sales stores by stocking fabric cover with various sizes like glasses. By producing locally, the project has the potential to reduce transportation cost and overproduction. And It gives a new experience for the consumer.
Native	現在、修理するよりも買い換えたほうが安いことや、遠方で生産されたものが近くで生産されたものよりも安いことが当たり前となっている。この不思議な状況は、多くのプロダクトが大量生産によって作られていることに起因する。 大量生産の多くは、金型や設備に多額の投資をし、一箇所で大量に同じものを生産、各地に輸送という手法をとる。それは、余剰生産や輸送費、エネルギーやCO2の無駄など大きな社会問題の一因となっている。 また、今後の社会では、多様であることに寛容なことが求められている。そのため、個々のユーザーにアジャストされた製品が求められるだろう。しかし、現在の大量生産の手法ではそれらのニーズを満たすことは難しい。 パプリカスツールはファブリックカバーに発泡ウレタンを流し込むことで成型されるスツールである。必要な設備は極めて簡易であり成型前の材料はコンパクト。成型に場所も時間もとらないため、ファブリックカバーをサイズごとにストックするだけで、メガネのように注文を受けてから生産するセミオーダー形式の販売方法が可能となる。 加えて、ファブリックカバーに注型されたは発泡ウレタンは布の表層に浸潤し強靭なシェル構造を形成。1kgという軽さでありながら人が座るのに十分な強度を誇る。 ユーザーに合わせてその場で随時生産できるこのスツールは、ユーザーに自身にあったスツールを手に入れる新しい体験を提供でき余剰生産や輸送費、エネルギーやCO2の無駄を削減するポテンシャルを秘めている。
