English	Whilst creating the playground, we are thinking about children at play, and how they frequently imagine what it is like to fly. The title of the piece is taken from a Leonardo Da Vince quote: “For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.” There is a power in imagining the impossible, a power that slowly disappears as you make your way to becoming an adult. We want to create a playground that gives children the confidence to play, where colour wraps around forms, distorting perspectives / 2d & 3d, encouraging them to see beyond the real.
Native	우리는 보통의 조합놀이대가 설치되어 있는 어린이 놀이터를 탈피하고자 한다. 공동주택 조경공간에서 상당한 입체적 규모를 갖는 놀이시설물은 사실 예술장식품이 감당하고 있는 조형적 결절점으로서의 역할을 동시에 수행하고 있다. 때문에 놀이시설물의 벽면, 포장 그리고 각각의 구성품은 훌륭한 오브제로서 자리할 수 있고, 우리는 이러한 놀이시설물의 위상에 주목하였다. 국제적으로 활발한 활동을 하고 있는 영국의 공간예술가 Sinta Tantra 와의 협업은 놀이시설물을 하나의 예술품으로 만들고자 하는 우리의 의도를 실현하기에 충분한 시도가 되었다. 이 작품을 통해 우리는 아이들의 무한 상상력의 가능성에 주목하고 아이들이 현실 너머의 미지의 부분에 대한 호기심과 열정을 소유하기를 기원한다. 작품의 제목은 레오나르도 다빈치의 어록에서 발췌되었다. "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.” 우리는 화려한 색채와 패턴의 구성을 통해 아이들이 익숙한 현실에서 조금 더 생경하고 비현실적인 너머(Beyond)의 세상을 상상하기를 바란다.
