PROF. YOSHIMARU TAKAHASHI
JAPAN / OSAKA UNIVERSITY OF ARTS
He is focusing on typography, treasures his involvement in design and culture, and is actively engaged as a lecturer, judge, and in special exhibitions in Japan and throughout Asia, Europe, and the world. He presides over his own design office called Advertising Maru Co., Ltd. At the same time, he is a professor at Osaka University of Arts and the dean of the design department. Additionally, he serves as a visiting professor at Ningbo University in China. As part of a group activity, he holds the position of chairman at the Japan Typography Association. His major awards include recognition from the NY ADC, NY Festival, the HKDA GDA, and many others. He is the author of 'The Pleasures of Book Design,' 'Pleasures of Typography' (published by Pie International), 'Fuzzy Communication' (Museum of Arts & Crafts, Hamburg), and many more. He has been involved in the K Design Award and Asia Design Prize, contributing to the design of the award certificates.
彼は、タイポグラフィを主軸とし、アジアや欧米など国内外で講演、審査員、企画展覧会等に積極的に取り組み、デザインと文化とのかかわりを大切にしている。株式会社広告丸という自身のデザイン事務所を主宰していると同時に、大阪芸術大学の教授であり、デザイン学科長 という立場にある。また、中国の寧波大学の客座教授でもある。団体活動としては、日本タイポグラフィ協会の理事長を努めている。主な受賞にニューヨークアートディレクターズクラブやニューヨークフェスティバル、香港デザインアワード他多数の受賞がある。主な著書に、「ここちいい文字」「ここちいい本」（PIE international）、「曖昧なコミュニケーション」（ハンブルク美術工芸博物館）、他多数がある。K Design 賞、Asia Design 賞の審査員を務め、賞状のデザインも担当。
