Tetsuya Matsumoto is the founder and Head Architect Designer at KTX archiLAB based in Japan, as well as a Lecturer at Osaka University of Art. After graduating from the same university, he engaged in various architectural and interior design projects. His work spans a wide range of categories and scales, with a primary focus on hospitality, commercial, and medical facilities. His projects showcase the elegance of simplicity, the beauty of functionality, and delicacy in cost controlling the designs. Tetsuya has received over 160 design prizes from 16 different countries, including prestigious awards such as the Red Dot Award, iF Design Award, Chicago Good Design Award, K Design Award, APIDA, DFA, and Japan’s Good Design Award. In 2017, he served as the jury chairman for the Asia Design Prize and has been a judge for 10 international design awards from 9 countries.
日本に拠点を置くKTXアーキラボの創設者兼ヘッドアーキテクト。大阪芸術大学大学院修了後、様々な建築設計・空間デザインを手掛ける。作品は商業施設、医療施設、教育施設などのインテリアデザインから建築物まで、様々なカテゴリー・規模に至る。シンプルで美しいデザイン、コストコントロール、機能美、それらが彼のプロジェクトに共通する揺るぎないスタンダードです。レッド・ドット賞、iFデザイン賞、シカゴグッドデザイン賞、K-デザインアワード、APIDA、DFA、日本のグッドデザイン賞など、16ヵ国160タイトルを超えるデザイン賞を受賞。 2017年 Asia Design Prizeの審査員長を務め、これまで９ヵ国10の国際デザインアワードの審査員を歴任。
