PROF. CLIFF SHIN
USA / UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA CHAMPAIGN
Cliff Shin is an award-winning designer in not only professional practice but also design education. He is a recipient of IDSA Young Educator Award by Industrial Designers Society of America and has received numerous design awards around the world. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Industrial Design in the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and affiliated faculty with the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology dedicated to interdisciplinary research. He worked for LG Corporate Design Center as a senior industrial designer and was specialized in home appliances, where he gained extensive expertise in both product development and eye of details that bring products to another level. He practices design by consulting for product development and design research in both professionally and academically.
클리프 신은 전문 실무뿐만 아니라 디자인 교육에서도 수상 경력을 가진 디자이너입니다. 그는 미국 산업 디자이너 협회(IDSA)에서 수여한 IDSA Young Educator Award 수상자이며 전 세계에서 다수의 디자인 상을 받았습니다. 현재 그는 일리노이 대학교 어번나-샴페인 캠퍼스의 예술 및 디자인 학부에서 산업 디자인의 부교수로 재직하고 있으며, 교차 학문 연구에 전념하는 Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology의 부교수로도 임용되어 있습니다. 그는 LG 기업 디자인 센터에서 고급 산업 디자이너로 근무하며 주로 가전제품을 전문으로 하여 제품 개발과 세부 사항에 대한 풍부한 전문 지식을 쌓았습니다. 그는 전문적으로나 학문적으로 제품 개발 및 디자인 연구를 위해 디자인을 실천하고 있습니다.
