'Tapered stool' is designed by replacing the local design languages of 'Tongyeong' in Korea with formative concepts. It embodies the line of mountain ranges that make up the Local coast and the climate of local people who have adapted to the topography without going against the topography like oysters that live attached to rocks. This project sought to solve the local problem of out-of-balance with nature. It informs about the sustainability of pursuing harmony with nature by using oyster shells from the local environment as a material. Also, It silently expresses the warmth of handmade and the wild beauty of oyster as it is.

'테이퍼드 스툴'은 한국, 통영의 지역 디자인 랭귀지를 조형적 개념으로 발전시켜 디자인한 스툴이다. 지역 해안을 이루는 산맥의 선, 그리고 암석에 붙어 살아가는 굴처럼 지형을 거스르지 않고 순응하여 만든 지역민의 풍토를 형상화하였다. 이 프로젝트는 자연과의 균형이 흐트러진 지역 문제를 해결할 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 지역 환경에서 비롯된 굴 껍데기를 제작 소재로 활용하여 자연과의 조화를 추구하는 지속 가능성에 대해 알리고자 한다. 현대 가구에서 느낄 수 없는 수제의 온기와 굴의 "있는 그대로의" 야성 미를 묵묵히 담아냈다.
