Asia has developed a multiplex housing and apartment complex. if they are trapped inside the apartment, they can't cope with the escape routes due to seating capacity of the elevator, nor wait until the rescue team arrives. Balcony ladder is a product that can be used as a ladder for emergence. It serves as an handrail and can be used to escape downstairs. It is connected to the rescue team, the lighting and alarm sounds are sounded to alert others to identify the location. And alarm prevents fraudulent use of the dwelling. It provides social value because residents can guarantee safety rights can be handled by residents in an emergency.

아시아 지역은 인구 밀집의 특성으로 인해 다세대 주택과 고층 아파트가 발달되어 있다. 이러한 다세대 건물에서는 화재, 지진 등의 비상 상황일 때 복도의 엘리베이터와 계단을 통해 대피할 수 있지만, 수용 인원이 정해져있고 많은 사람이 단시간에 몰리게 되면 혼잡하게 되어 비효율적이다. 또한 집 안 내부에 갇히게 되면 대피경로가 따로 존재하지 않아서 아무런 대처도 할 수 없으며 그저 구조대가 도착 할 때까지 기다리는 수 밖에 없다. 그렇기 때문에 안전을 위해 집 안 내부에서도 최소한의 대피경로를 확보할 수 있게 해야한다. Balcony ladder은 난간, 방범창 등의 형식으로 사용하다가 화재등의 비상시에 탈착하여 사다리로 사용할 수 있는 제품이다. 기존의 난간 역할을 하면서 동시에 비상시 사다리로 사용하여 아랫층으로 대피할 수 있다. Balcony ladder는 구동과 동시에 구조대에게 연결되서 신고접수가 되고, led 조명과 경보음이 울려서 타인들에게 위치인식과 상황파악을 할 수 있게 한다. 또한 경보음은 주거 침범등의 악용적 사용을 방지한다. Balcony ladder은 비상 상황에 주민들이 능동적인 대처를 할 수 있는, 최소한의 안전 권리를 보장해 줄 수 있기 때문에 사회적인 가치를 제공한다.
