We worked on the signage system for new Asan Nanum Foundation building. The foundation was established 10 years ago, in commemoration of the death of Hyundai Group founder "Chung Ju-yung." We extracted key graphic elements from the font “Khmer MN," which has both modern and classic features, to highlight clean facade of the building and history of the foundation at the same time. We developed 15 types of pictograms based on the graphic features of the font and applied them into the building’s wayfinding system.

현대 창업자 서거 10주기를 기념해 출범한 공익재단인 아산나눔재단의 신당동 신사옥 사이니지 시스템을 의뢰받아 픽토그램을 중심으로 사이니지까지 전개하였습니다. 아산나눔재단의 로고는 차분한 색과 세리프 서체를 사용하여 클래식하고 진중한 느낌을 전달합니다. 반면, 아산나눔재단의 신사옥은 정사각형의 모듈을 쌓아 올린 모던한 모습을 하고 있으며, 건물 내부는 흰 벽과 유리 벽이 차지하는 면적이 높아 전체적으로 군더더기 없는 모습을 하고 있습니다. 재단이 가지는 특성과 건물이 가지는 특성의 조화를 고려하고, 업무와 여러 행사가 이루어지는 사옥인 만큼 차분함을 해치지 않는 사이니지 시스템을 디자인하였습니다. 픽토그램은 서체와의 어우러짐을 위하여 영문서체 Khmer MN이 가지는 곡선의 굵기 변화, 기울기, 그리고 끝맺음의 형태를 활용하여 총 15개의 픽토그램을 디자인하였습니다. 픽토그램들을 디자인하는 것 외에도 전체 층 사이니지, 각 층 사이니지, 회의실 사이니지 등 사옥에서 업무를 보시는 분들이 좀 더 손쉽게 실내를 다니실 수 있도록 wayfinding 시스템을 구축하였습니다. 시트지부터 아크릴, 금속까지 부착 면과 공간의 밝기와 역할에 가장 적합한 재질을 사용하여 시공을 완료하였습니다.
