English	A house cannot exist without a connection to the sky. This home is designed to live in harmony with the sky. Traditional Japanese townhouses (machiya) use central gardens to bring nature into daily life, fostering respect and aesthetics. This house adopts that wisdom, built on a pentagonal plot with a central courtyard and rooms on either side, connected by a passage. Light and wind flow into the home as all rooms face the courtyard. The space expands horizontally and vertically, creating a rich living experience. The Mobius strip-like circulation adapts to various lifestyles and lets family members move freely while protecting their health.
Native	空との物理的、抽象的、詩的な関係無く住宅は存在しえ得ない。その空と共にどう生きるかをミッションとした住まいです。伝統的な日本の町家は中央に庭を設けることで自然を生活に取り入れ、独特の美意識や自然への敬意を育んできました。この家はこの知恵を生かしました。五角形の敷地に家の中央に中庭を設け左右に部屋を配置し、そして一番奥には通路を作り左右の部屋を繋いでいます。すべての部屋が中庭に面することで光と風が室内に浸透します。空間が水平だけでなく垂直に広がり、空に寄り添うような豊かなな住環境を形成しています。そして2重のメビウスの輪のような複雑な導線は、多様な暮らし方や日々変化する家族の暮らしに適切に対応します。また、家族がすれ違うことなく暮らせることも出来、疫病渦等でも家族の健康が守れます。
