English	Sinchang-ri is a coastal town located on the western part of Jeju Island a good place to enjoy the seas of Jeju in a tranquil setting as there are still not many tourists. Cafe 3rd Person, a cafe located inside a remodeled 40-year-old house, is a place where you can view the ocean and escape from your daily life with a cup of coffee. This cafe aimed to create a “space where we can look out onto the water and space out with a cup of coffee.” Its design motif uses concepts of meditation like repetition and the erasure of thought by letting go of focus, achieved through the use of concentric circles.
Native	제주도의 서쪽에 위치한 해안가 마을 신창리. 아직은 관광객이 많지 않아 한적하게 제주의 바다를 즐기기 좋은 동네다. 그 곳에서 40년 된 구옥을 커피숍으로 리모델링한 카페 “3인칭관찰자시점”은 바다를 바라보며 커피와 함께 일상에서 벗어날 수 있는 공간이다. 이 곳은 “바다를 바라보며 커피 한잔과 함께 멍 때릴 수 있는 공간” 생각을 초월하는 과정. 즉, 명상에서 오는 반복과 생각을 지워 나가며 초점을 잃게 만드는 동심원의 한 점을 디자인 모티브로 삼았다. 한적한 제주의 바다와 함께 온전한 휴식을 취할 수 있는 공간이길 기대하면서 디자인했다.
