English	Academic background has become a symbol of class or social status in modern Korean society. In Korea, there has been a continuing social phenomenon in which academic background and school status are important regardless of individual abilities, and people believe that there must be an unequal hierarchy among competing academic groups. This infographic conveys a message that I hope that the day will come when Korean academicism disappears and his or her abilities are highlighted rather than his or her educational background.
Native	학벌은 현대 한국 사회에서 계급 또는 사회적 신분의 징표가 되어버렸습니다. 한국에서는 개인의 능력과는 상관없이 학력과 출신 학교의 지위를 중요하게 여기는 사회현상이 계속되어왔으며 사람들은 경쟁하는 학벌 집단들 사이에도 불평등한 서열이 반드시 있어야 한다고 생각합니다. 그러면서 학벌사회를 더욱 조장하고 있습니다. 이러한 사회현상을 직접적으로 보여주어 학벌주의의 쟁점과 인식개선 대책을 찾기 위해 그래픽으로 제작하였습니다. 한국 통계청에서 발표한 교육정도별 경제활동인구 (2000 - 2020) 와 교육 정도별 실업자, 고용률, 취업률을 수치화하고 안경렌즈 도수에 따른 왜곡을 메타포로 사용하여 사회 시선의 왜곡을 표현하였습니다. 대표적인 심벌은 안경을 기존의 가로 방식이 아닌 새로운 방식으로 세워서 바라보는 형태로 구성하였으며 안경렌즈의 두께로 차별의 정도를 나타냈습니다. 고학력자일수록 렌즈가 얇아 왜곡이 적고 저학력자일수록 렌즈의 두께가 두꺼워져 왜곡이 심해지는 것을 의미하며 본 인포그래픽은 한국의 학벌주의가 사라지고 학력보단 그 사람만이 가진 능력들이 부각되어 마음껏 각자의 능력을 펼칠 수 있는 날이 왔으면 좋겠다는 메시지를 전달합니다.
