English	For children, play is learning, and learning is play. So children get to learn easily through visual senses than with language. So I came up with an idea that playing with a geometric form of teaching tool could evolve children's sense of art. And expressing it through traditional Norigae teaching tool. Segyul conveys the meaning of forgotten traditional knots through the geometric form. Today Traditional knot is being forgotten, and also the meaning is being lost. Through Segyul, children can rememorize the knot tradition of our country, and represent a productive way of education.
Native	어린이들에게 있어서 놀이는 학습이며, 학습은 놀이입니다. 아이들은 언어를 통해 교육하는 것보다 기호학을 통해 전달하는 것이 더 효과적이고 영향력이 큽니다. 기하학적인 형태의 교구를 가지고 만드는 놀이를 통한 반복적인 시각적 경험이 아이들의 조형 의식 속에 자리잡을 수 있다는 것을 활용하여 전통 교구 프로젝트로 표현하고자 하였습니다. ‘세결’은 우리나라의 전통 장신구 노리개를 통해, 잊혀져가는 전통 매듭이 담고 있는 의미를 전달하는 교구입니다. 노리개 속의 매듭은 이전에 손으로 만지고 묶어가는 매듭이었습니다. 하지만 현재의 매듭은 잊혀져가고 있고, 전통적 의미 조차 사라져가고 있습니다. 우리나라의 매듭 전통을 기하학적으로 재해석하여, 아이들이 직접 만들고 비교해보며 새로운 전통 교육을 제시하는 것이 세결 입니다. 아이들이 스스로 만드는 기하학적인 매듭을 통해, 전통의 의미를 찾아가면서 동시에 아이들의 공감각 능력을 증진시켜줄 수 있습니다. 또한, 자신만의 의미를 담은 매듭 블럭을 노리개의 패물 자리에 넣어 새로운 형태의 노리개를 제시할 수 있습니다.
