| English | This installation is inspired by Samdong's abundant four seasons that reflect the beauty radiating from multi-colored leaves. It aspires to be a space that is man-made but like nature at the same time, by capturing the harmonic encounter between the perpetual nature of locality. The installation is made up of 1484 aluminium panels colored with three shades that depict Samdong's golden leaves with beautiful colours and qualities. 220 special panels were created individually to be installed on walls of the existing building whilst maintaining all of its original structure and shape. |
| Native | 영속적인 삼동의 자연; 빛, 물, 나뭇잎 그리고 인간에게 필요한 건축(벽)이 만나 자연과 공존하는 가장 인공적이면서도 자연과 닮은 공간을 계획한 작품이다. 나뭇잎 모양의 1484개의 알루미늄 패널에 3가지의 색상 코드를 만들어 삼동의 나뭇잎 색상을 재현했으며 외부 환경의 영향에도 변질이나 변색없이 견딜수 있게 전기 도금 기술을 적용하여 영속적인 퀄리티의 아름다운 색상을 유지 할 수 있다. 특히, 기존의 건물의 외벽에 작품을 설치하기 위하여 220개의 특수 패널을 개별로 제작하여 기존 건축물의 구조나 형태를 그대로 유지하면서 새로운 패널을 결합시켰다.현재 우리가 살고 보고 듣고 느끼는 공간은 다양한 목적과 요구로 빠르게 변화하고 발전하고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 건축이나 공간(인테리어)의 내 외장제의 다양성은 많이 부족한 현실이다. 이렇듯 부족한 다양성은 때로는 변화와 개발의 중심에서 의도치 않게 획일화 되어 보이며 개성을 잃거나 또는 너무 강해보이는 일방적인 침입자가 될 수도 있다. The Perpetual Golden Leaf 와 같은 다양한 고민, 시도 그리고 기술(제품) 개발이 다양한 변화와 환경 속에서 공존 할 수있는 인공물의 자연(nature artifact)이 될 수 있기를 기대해본다. |
