English	The concept of the SFC BIO Laboratory Space Branding & Design project is “Reaction to constantly changing environment.” The client, a global leader in the OLED industry, needed an iconic architecture for their new BIO brand. We defined SFC BIO’s Brand Identity as ‘constant reaction,’ and its Space Identity as ‘pure and precise axis.’ The transparent Concourse that spans across the building is a ‘Heart Space’ where visitors can experience the iconic space of SFC BIO through its pure geometry. It can accommodate various reactions such as the people, the room functions, and the environment. The Concourse is a metaphor to the SFC BIO brand.
Native	SFC BIO연구소 공간 브랜딩&디자인 프로젝트의 컨셉, “끊임없이 변화하는 환경에 반응”이라는 주제를 담아 공간을 브랜딩하였다. 세계 최고 성능의 OLED 디스플레이 산업에서 경쟁력을 가진 SFC는 자신들의 주력기술을 활용해 바이오 분야로 진출하기 위한 교두보로써 공간을 통해 기업의 대외적인 브랜드 마케팅효과와 직원들의 사기증진을 이룰 상징적인 건축물이 필요했다. 화학적인 반응, 주변 환경과의 반응, 사람과의 교감반응, 정밀한 반응, 상호신뢰의 반응, 변화에 대한 반응. 이렇게 총 6가지 반응을 SFC BIO의 브랜드 아이덴티티로 정의하고, 공간 아이덴티티로써 ‘순수하고 정확한 축’을 제안하며 반응의 공간을 제안한다. 건축물 전체를 관통하는 길고 상징적인 유리 콩코스는 “HEART SPACE”로써 주요 동선의 기능을 맡으며 모든 실과 소통한다. 유리 커튼월의 넓은 면은 채광에 유리하며 방문자는 이 공간에서 순수한 기하학적인 상징공간을 통해 SFC BIO 공간을 체험한다. 사람들의 행위, 각 기능실들 간의 상호작용, 주변의 자연환경 등 다양한 반응의 풍경을 이 콩코스에 담아낼 수 있다. 브랜드 아이덴티티를 담은 중심 콩코스는 무엇이든 담겨질 수 있는 투명한 보이드이다. 그리고 SFC BIO라는 회사의 브랜드 가치를 나타내는 메타포이다.
