English	'Jang' is one of Korea’s traditional paste and it brings out Korea’s traditional flavor. This Project is a brand’s identity design that sells Korea’s ‘jang’. We set 'baesanimsu'(It means a place where a mountain is on the back and a stream is in the front.;fengshui) as the main concept to express brand’s identity that is based on Korea making ‘jang’ in a traditional method in pure nature’s form. Also, we retranslated the traditional pattern into a modern approach. That pattern is a graphic of expressing each ‘jang’ characteristics and nature’s ingredients. it organically connects various type of products and presents brand’s representation.
Native	‘맑은온장’ 프로젝트는 한국 전통 장을 판매하는 브랜드의 아이덴티티 디자인 프로젝트이다. ‘깨끗한 자연을 재료로 한국의 전통적인 방식의 장을 만든다’ 는 정체성을 나타내기 위해 우리는 한국 전통성과 ‘배산임수’의 개념을 컨셉으로 설정하였다. 한국 선조들은 자연과 주변 풍경에 따라 사는 방식의 지혜를 얻었다. 우리는 전통을 보다 현대적인 디자인 형태로 표현하기 위해 단순히 전통 문양 형태로서의 이미지를 표현하는 것이 아닌 배산임수의 ‘자연적 조건’에 모티브를 얻어 장을 만드는 자연적인 재료와 방식, 맛의 이미지를 그래픽화하고 재배열, 재구성하는 과정으로 브랜드 정체성을 나타내는 그래픽 모티브를 디자인하였다. 로고타입은 고서의 표기된 배산임수의 지도 이미지를 모티브로 ‘한글’의 형태 구성하고 장이 담기는 항아리의 형태를 더해 디자인했다. 그래픽은 각 장의 특징을 나타낸 이미지로 패턴화하여 제품을 구분하는 요소로도 활용하고 한국의 전통적인 톤앤매너를 반영하여 고객들에게 전통의 경험을 전달하는 요소이자 브랜드의 시각적인 정체성을 유지하는 요소로 활용되도록 하였다. 한국 전통을 표현할 때는 한정적으로 전통문양이나 이미지등으로 표현할 때가 많았다. 우리는 이 프로젝트에서 한국 전통 그래픽 비주얼이 보다 현대적으로 보여지는 이미지를 만들고자했다.
