English	This project is a redevelopment projects for Kanagawa University’s 100th anniversary. The function of this facility is designed to not only act as an association for both graduate and undergraduate students, but also a communication center for the local community. The project is located adjacent to the school campus. This plays an important role in connecting the university & the local community thorough the main gate. This is achieved by making good use of the existing topography around the site to ensure it is suitable for the new university entrance.
Native	計画地は住宅に囲まれた丘陵地の中腹にある神奈川大学横浜キャンパスである。周辺地域と大学を結ぶ接点「玄関」にあり、周辺環境との関係で大きな役割を担う場所である。そこにOBOG会の事務局や在校生、地域住民問わず気軽に、親しみをもって利用してもらうために積極的に開くことが求められた。既存の校舎は、機能を建物の内外や階層で明確に仕切られているため閉鎖的な空間が多く、特定の目的がある人以外が自由に出入りし利用できる場がほとんど無い。また、OBOG会の存在は在学生や卒業生に周知されておらず、活気を失いつつある。本施設が学生に開かれ積極的に利用されることで記憶に残り、卒業後もOBOG、地域住民に開かれた交流の場となる計画とした。 敷地内外や階層で空間・機能を仕切るのではなく、周辺環境と自然につながることのできる大地を建築化する「丘のような建築」を目指した。敷地周辺の緩やかな傾斜を連続させ、異なるレベルからのアプローチを可能とする動線とし、丘を巡るようなシークエンスを表象するスキップフロア形式の建築構成とした。建物内の機能は、動線を拡張したラウンジ空間を介して連続的につながっていくことで、階層化による不連続性を無くし、小規模ながら全体としての広がりを得ている。緩やかに連続した共用空間が企画展示など多目的に利用され、それらの景色が内外に共有されることにより開かれた交流の場・空間となる。この丘陵地で築きあげられてきた大学に相応しい象徴的な存在になっていくことを期待する。
