English The visual image design not only promotes the cultural festival, but also allows overseas Chinese to feel a familiarity - the warmth of memories that bring about a longing for home. Recognition of the common memory of Taiwan's Gazi bag connects strangers by tugging at the emotions to be back in their hometown for those reminiscing about this symbol of Taiwan. The four main Chinese characters of the Taiwan Film Festival make use of the shape of Taiwanese children's playing cards to bring forth the impressions of such early memories, linking the image of youth with the present time! The festival's catchphrase - Made in Taiwan, A Masterpiece.
Native 「 第二屆多倫多台灣影展 」除了強調台灣原創的電影製作,更藉由台灣在地的文化特色,凝聚成專屬「台灣影展」的特殊性,誠如「台灣製造,必屬佳作」便說明台灣的獨特! 此次活動的視覺設計,以台灣傳統「茄芷袋」顏色的概念:紅、藍、綠,三種顏色,作為共同連結的印象與認同。只要看到「茄芷袋」就會想到台灣,就會知道我們是曾經在這個土地上成長的一群人!因此,此次的視覺形象設計,不單只是針對台灣影展活動的傳達,更是讓在海外的僑胞們,藉由此次的視覺設計,感受記憶中那份熟悉的溫暖,也再次喚起思鄉的情懷與認同,繼而呼朋引伴的參與影展的活動,希望藉由台灣茄芷袋的共同記憶,連結更多僑胞的向心力,同時凝聚家鄉的情感,是此次活動最主要的意義。還有,台灣影展的四個主體字,更是利用了早期兒時的童玩「尪仔標」更凸顯記憶中的印象,讓更多僑胞一同回憶那時的美好光景!放射狀的圓形圖,象徵早期戶外放映電影的懷舊! 2020年的台灣影展,是為Covid-19疫情最為高峰的時間,為了能讓影展順利完成,不但將影展的播映方式,以台灣早期戶外看電影的概念,在廣場上於車內看電影的方式,似有懷念的方式完成此次的影展,然而,更是配合嚴謹的防疫措施,設計口罩的周邊商品,讓參與的民眾不僅有濃濃的台灣味之外,更是安全的防疫措施!而口罩的設計,除了原有茄芷袋的概念元素之外,更融合台灣的共同流行語「你來你來」,凸顯特有的民間語言的特色,同時也是共同體的存在感。
