Korean medicine is a traditional medicine grown naturally to the Korean Peninsula, interacting with traditional East Asian medicine. However, the level of awareness of Korean medicine is low, and the percentage of Koreans who said they do not know well is 36.4%(2020), which is relatively high. In order for Korean medicine to play a more active role in the future era of diseases, objective data are needed to determine what Korean medicine is, where it is situated in the current world, and what its medical values are. This project is a project in which these objective data are explained in infographics based on user data from 2010 to 2020.

한의학은 한반도에서 자생한 전통 의학으로 중국과 일본 등 동아시아의 전통 의학과 교류하며 연구되고 전승되었습니다. 1610년 한의학을 중심으로 저술된 의학 서적 ‘동의보감’은 유네스코 세계기록유산으로 등재되었으며, 2022년 WHO 국제질병체계(ICD-11)에 한의학을 포함한 동아시아 전통 의학이 공식적으로 등재되며 그 가치를 세계적으로 인정받았습니다. 그러나, 아직 국제사회에서 한의학의 인지도는 낮은 상태이며, 한국인의 경우에도 한의학에 대해 잘 모른다고 응답한 비율이 36.4%(2020, 통계청)로 비교적 높은 편입니다. 한의학이 앞으로의 질병 시대에 더욱 적극적인 역할을 담당하기 위해서는 한의학이란 무엇인지, 현재 세계에서 어느 위치에 있으며 그 의학적 가치는 어떠한지 판단할 수 있는 객관적인 자료가 필요합니다. 본 프로젝트는 2010년부터 2020년까지 국내외 이용자 데이터를 기반으로 이러한 객관적 자료를 포스터와 편집물을 통한 인포그래픽으로 설명합니다.
