English	Artisans registered as National Intangible Cultural Heritage are working to maintain and develop traditional culture. However, in Korea, the number of artisan is decreasing due to low awareness and interest in them. So I propose a symbol design of their fields so that people can be interested in the existence and efforts of them and maintain their skills for a long time. 50 fields of artisan were selected and typography symbols were created by combining the artistic features with the Korean name of each artisan. The symbols form the identity of each artisan field and convey their presence and value of technology.
Native	한국의 국가무형문화재로 등재된 ‘장인’들은 전통문화의 유지와 발전을 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 하지만 국내에서는 한국의 전통문화를 아는 사람은 있어도, 그 뒤에 있는 장인의 노력을 아는 사람은 많지 않습니다. 이렇게 장인에 대한 인지도와 관심이 부족하여 장인의 명맥이 끊길 위기에 있습니다. 그래서 사람들이 장인의 존재와 노력에 관심을 가지고 장인 기술이 오래 유지될 수 있도록 국가무형문화재 장인 종목의 심볼 디자인을 제안합니다. 한국의 국가무형문화재로 등재된 50개의 장인 종목을 선정하여 각 종목의 예술적인 특징과 한글 명칭을 조합한 타이포그래피 심볼을 설계했습니다. 50개의 심볼은 각 장인 종목의 아이덴티티를 형성하여 그들의 존재감과 기술의 가치를 전달합니다. 이를 통해, 장인의 존재가 쉽게 인식되고 더 많은 사람들에게 기억되어 장인 기술이 계속해서 전승될 수 있기를 바랍니다.
