RixRak-Variable Font(Rak-VF) is created to use in the digital era such as YouTube subtitles, SNS, and UI. It is designed to encompass both masculine and feminine neutrality for use in a wide range of contents. We reinvented Rak-VF by upgrading Rak-Font. There are three variable axises adjusted; weight, sanserif and serif, and width. These three axises variable font is the first attempt in Korea. The number of fonts produced in the middle of the process is quite different than simply variable by thickness. Many kinds of variable font will be expected to release in the future, and we’re looking forward to establishing Rak-VF as a prime role.

Rix락-배리어블 폰트(락-VF)는 락-시리즈의 기본 컨셉인 디지털 시대의 유튜브 자막 및 SNS, UI에 사용하는 것을 목표로 제작되었습니다. 1년여를 준비한 서체로 다양한 콘텐츠에 사용할 수 있도록 남성적 중립성과 여성적 중립성 모두를 아우를 수 있도록 제작했습니다. 락-배리어블 서체는 락-산스와 락-세리프 폰트를 업그레이드한 후 재탄생 시켰습니다. 배리어블 축은 글자 굵기, 산세리프-세리프, 글자 너비까지 총 3가지로 구성되어 있습니다. 이러한 3개 축 배리어블은 연구 차원의 시도들은 있었지만, 상업용 폰트로써는 국내 첫 시도라고 할 수 있습니다. 배리어블의 중간 과정에서 나오는 폰트의 경우의 수는 단순히 굵기를 배리어블하는 것과는 비교할 수 없을 정도로 큰 차이가 있습니다. 향후 다양한 가변 글꼴이 출시될 것으로 예상되며, 락-VF가 주된 역할을 할 것으로 기대합니다.
