Yakgwa was a high quality and highly favored traditional dessert at the royal palace, especially enjoyed during the Lunar New Year holidays in Korea. Manju was also enjoyed dessert in Korea and other Asian countries, symbolizing the shape of the round-shape of the Full-Moon. The round-shape of these desserts, symbolizing the abundance of the Full-Moon Holiday, is introduced as motif for the design and maximizes the concept of the products. The illustration pattern was derived from Yakgwa mold as a motif and designed with the wood printing style that has been adapted in the Korean mother-of-pearl box, while incorporating Oriental aesthetics.

약과는 궁중에서 만들어먹던 고급의 디저트로 특히 보름달이 뜨는 정월대보름명절에 즐겨먹었다. 만쥬 또한 한국 및 아시아에서 즐겨먹던 디저트로 둥근달의 모양을 상징해만들었다. 아시아인들에게 보름달은 풍요를 기원하는 큰의미를 담고있는데, 보름달에 풍년과 가족의 평안을 비는 제사를 지내는 풍습이 있다. 대보름의 풍요를 상징하는 원형의 모티브를패키지디자인에 접목시켜 컨셉을 극대화하였다 일러스트 패턴은 약과를 찍는 다식판을 모티브로 한국의 자개함에 들어가는 판화스타일로 동양미가 있게 디자인하였다. 그만큼 한국인에게는 위로와 감동을 주는 단순히 음식너머의 정신,문화라고 할수있다.
