Demand for electric wheelchairs is increasing. But, it is hesitant to purchase because of the price burden. By attaching the SUB WHEEL module to the existing manual wheelchair, the manual wheelchair will have the function of an electric wheelchair. The wheels of the manual wheelchair rotate automatically, using the friction of the existing wheelchair wheel and the sub wheel. The SUB WHEEL use two dial to adjust the distance between the wheelchair and the SUB WHEEL, and adjust spring tension. Thanks to the sub wheel, the user can take advantage of the electric wheelchair's functionality at a much lower cost using an existing manual wheelchair.

노인과 장애우의 이동수단인 전동휠체어의 수요가 점점 증가하고 있다. 하지만 가격적인 부담으로 구매하기 망설여지는 것이 사실이다. SUB WHEEL은 이러한 사람들에게 도움을 주고자 디자인 하였다. 기존 수동휠체어에 SUB WHEEL 모듈을 부착하여 수동휠체어는 전동휠체어의 기능을 가지게 된다. 기존 휠체어 바퀴와 서브휠이 맞물려 돌아가는 마찰력을 이용하여 수동휠체어의 바퀴는 자동으로 돌아간다. SUB WHEEL의 2개의 다이얼 스위치를 사용하여 서브휠을 사용자의 휠체어에 딱 맞게 장착할 수 있다. 상단의 다이얼은 휠체어와 서브휠 간의 거리를 조절하고 하단의 다이얼은 스프링의 텐션을 조절한다. SUB WHEEL의 조이스틱을 사용하여 SUB WHEEL을 휠체어에서 탈착 할 수 있다. 사용자는 서브휠 덕분에 기존의 수동휠체어를 활용하여 전동휠체어를 구매하는 값보다 훨씬 더 저렴하게 전동휠체어의 기능을 이용할 수 있다.
