Originally as two small storage rooms at a primary school, the vision of the alteration project is to provide an engaging spatial experience for the students and teachers to take part in meditation and mindfulness activities that reflects “Completion of the Heart” – the project brand philosophy. By opening up the main façade with rotatable timber fins and folding glass door, natural sunlight blends in with the timber and white interior to create a clean and welcoming environment. Timber deck with bamboo planter defines a moment of calmness before entry, allowing visitors to be more aware of their presence.

『心房』為香港上水一所學校的靜觀室項目。本項目願景為配合學校常規心靈教育課程而提供適切的空間設計，以供校內師生以及其他社區群體進行靜觀活動。項目工程由2016年開始，於2018年完工。設計師利用學校現有家長教師會以及儲物設施的兩個空間合拼，並把其出入口重新設置作為景觀室的空間。靜觀室的主立面設計為可旋轉式木條板片和折疊玻璃門，讓學生可以從建築的正面進入靜觀室。其自然光線與室內木素材的採用營造出簡單開明，平實樸素的形象。靜觀室入口位置以木素材作為平台材料，並配合竹林屏風作為入口佈局，讓訪客進入前能夠靜心預備。設計師希望利用空間內的各種大小設計讓訪客感受到『建構心』的意念，並更加敏感覺察自己。
