This is a house that makes the family move more than a typical home, comprises of unusual shapes and spaces to intrigue the brain, offers choices of movement to keep the brain active and has an element of fun. A beehive structure spreads out organically and provides the family with several spaces to be used as each likes. The hexagonal shape, the access point and the connecting route all stimulate the senses. Kids must manoeuvre in new ways, calculate the paths they will take, and adjust their stance to move in the space. Their sense of direction will also be challenged.

曲線を用いて視覚に働きかけることをはじめ、個々の生活空間は、本丸を中心に有機的に広がる城下町をイメージして配置されており、それらは日常生活の中で自然に上下移動が伴うよう意図しています。また、このように上下左右、３６０°に生活動線を交えることで、適度なプライバシーを確保しながら家族間の距離感を緊密に保つことを可能にしています。 “蜂の巣”と呼ばれる６角形のユニット家具も五感を刺激する大切な要素の中の一つです。合計１０ヶの蜂の巣は縦横に組まれ、その中を縦横無尽に移動することができます。２階から入って１階から出てくることも可能です。それらは、子どもたちの勉強部屋やベッドでもあり、また、父親の書斎でもあります。物質的な豊かさと併せて心の豊かさを満たすことが出来てはじめてその空間は、そこで日々の生活を暮らす家族にとって本当の家になるのだと思います。
