FUKURACIA OAZO is a tenant as rental meeting rooms in a high-rise building in Marunouchi, Tokyo. The area is the business center in Japan with new buildings one after another. We created this space in pursuit of universal Japanese spirits like finding beauty in a passage of time in a day, instead of just following trends in the developed Marunouchi area. We focused on and expressed light and colors to take daily and seasonal changes in the space. The dyed aluminum panel “SORA NO ENGAWA” at the wide windows varies its hues reflecting abundant tones of traditional Japanese colors such as Ruri (azure), Gunjo (deep ultramarine), and Ai (indigo).

今回の作品である、FUKURACIA OAZOは東京丸の内に位置する高層ビルのテナントであり貸会議室として運営を行っている。丸の内は日本のビジネスの中心であり、日々の開発により新しい建物が次々と建てられている。開発が進む丸の内の中でトレンドを追いかけることではなく、 1日の時間の移ろいから美を感じるといった普遍的な日本の精神性に訴えかける空間を考えた。 1日や四季の変化を空間に取り込む為、光と色に焦点を当て表現をした。大きな窓面に構成した「SORA NO ENGAWA」の染色アルミパネルは日本の伝統色の表現が豊富であるように瑠璃色、群青色、藍色、、と時間の移ろいと共に表現を変えていく。
