Since a policy released in Beijing in 2015, prohibiting smoking public indoor space, smokers run into the outdoor smoking space during the short break. Smokers in old downtown have a habit to smoke anywhere and throw away cigarette butts on the street since no smoking space is defined. The pink drain cover holds a perforated metal container underneath. which is capable of receiving cigarette butts. It would be more efficient than establishing smoking space. The ash tray was installed for ten days. Contrary to our expectation, the collected cigarette butts were very little. This was an evidence that they realized that they have bad habit.

2015年に新たに公共の室内での喫煙を禁止するという政策が開始され、喫煙者は休み時間に外へと走らなければならなくなった。CBDの人々は政策に従い、空の下で喫煙を楽しんでいる。一方古い下町の人々は喫煙エリアなどないためどこでも好きに吸う悪い癖がある。このピンクの排水溝の蓋はタバコを吸殻を受けるためのパンチングメタルの容器を装備している。このエリアにおいては喫煙所を設けるよりもより効果的であるだろう。この灰皿は10日間設置されたが、私たちの予想に反して、タバコの吸殻は少なかった。しかし、これは喫煙者たちは彼らの悪い習慣を気づき始めた証拠である。
