English	"MINGU", which fulfills the needs of life, reflect the the primitive purpose and consequences of human action. However, humans do not doubt the existence of Mingu in everyday life. Exhausting the air in a sealed polybag with a valve and creating a vacuum, a three-dimensional implement is molded from a flat material, so that the user can complete the assembling of this implement with a minimum amount of action. The molding motion of this new Mingu arouses the original intention to fulfill the needs of life. It is also the “making” process, where new Mingu plays a role in connecting past and presence life which transcended generations.
Native	「民具」一词本身是于1935年７月由日本民俗学者渋沢敬三提出，当时的定义是「由我们身边唾手可得的材料所製作出来的，能够长久使用且贴近日常生活的道具」。简而言之便是民用生活道具。 但是由于对材料使用的限定，以及民具这一思想时期的特徵，当时的民具普遍被认为是只使用身边的自然素材，不依赖複杂机械，用手作的方法完成的器具才能被定义成民具。 本作品从现代用具的真空收纳袋得到灵感，使用者通过空气阀门将密闭袋中的空气抽出，使素材因为真空作用立体成型，成为一个凳子。不需要粘接剂和五金件。在现代生活中是一个实验性和实用性兼具的提案。 从民具作为生活道具的「实用性」，以及满足民具思想且对环境不产生破坏的「生产性」两点著手，去思考让民具如何在现代社会中以新的方式呈现。用现代的素材，简单的操作，使民具能够耐用的同时，也让使用者能感受到民具生产的过程和乐趣。
