The Asia Design Prize has formed an official partnership with the Spatial Designers Support Organization of Japan (SSOJ). Through this collaboration, the two organizations aim to build a new alliance that extends beyond Korea and Japan and expands the value and potential of Asian spatial design worldwide. SSOJ is a professional organization that supports spatial designers in Japan and connects the design industry with the creative community. Together, the Asia Design Prize and SSOJ plan to discover creative talent, foster new discourse across Asia, and establish a foundation that gives Asian designers a stronger voice in the global design community.

This partnership represents more than an exchange between two organizations. It is a long term collaboration through which both organizations will explore the identity and future of Asian design. They will examine the new value that spatial design can create amid rapidly changing industrial and technological environments while working to build an ecosystem in which Asian designers can have greater influence on the global stage. Tomohisa Nagai, Representative of SSOJ, expressed his commitment to developing the partnership so that Japanese designers can pursue new opportunities internationally and explore a broader range of possibilities.

Doyoung Kim, Founder of the Asia Design Prize, said, “Asia is home to countless perspectives and possibilities that can help shape the future of global design. This partnership goes beyond exchange between Korea and Japan. It will serve as a starting point for Asian spatial design to shape global conversations and establish new standards.” The Asia Design Prize and SSOJ will continue to connect different cultures and perspectives, propose new directions for Asian design, and expand their collaboration so that creative ideas and values emerging from Asia can contribute to the future of global design.
