Atsumasa Tamura has been the Founder and Designer at Atsumasa Tamura Design Office, based in Kyoto, since 2010. Our concept is to redefine the 'atmosphere' distilled from the culture and traditions of Kyoto, incorporating it into contemporary society and urban lifestyle. Our design activities are diverse, spanning interior design, architectural design consulting, renovation products, and graphic design, without being confined to any specific genre. In 2015, we established Intercalary Inc. in Kyoto and Beijing to expand our design activities. Our goal is to become designers of cultural diversity, who not only understand Japanese culture and traditions but also share a sense of Asian aesthetics embraced by different cultures and countries throughout Asia.
