On the view of design, "mountain" is abstracted into vertical component and "water" as horizontal component. In another dimension, cloud and fog are regarded as an indispensable element of designed landscape from the beginning. Cloud and fog are the direct embodiment of the "Aura" contained in the landscape structure. Here, both physical elements and spiritual imagination reach the basic spirit of Chinese art at the same time. In addition, pine is the main sustenance object of Chinese traditional humanism ideal in life. The shape and symbolic meaning of pine imply a kind of leisure state of being independent aloof from the world.

松是孤傲的，我们往往缺的就是独处空间，一个空间呆久了，也许就成了永恒的；在既定的边界内用几何学重塑了人与时间、空间三者的对话关系；坊墙是长安的重要生活场所，也是生活日常与其他的边界；于是我们呈现了长安108坊内的另一种方式。“一元两极”的山水结构是中国基本艺术精神的物质性构成，本设计将“山”抽象成竖直方向的构件，将“水”抽象成水平方向上的组构，因此，设计中的大门意象就是山水的阴阳结构的象征。在另一个维度上，本设计从起初就将云雾视为一种不可或缺的造园要素，云雾便是山水结构所蕴含的“气韵”的直接体现。在此，物质性元素与精神性想象同时抵达了中国艺术的基本精神。除此之外，松是中国传统人文理想生活的主要寄托对象，其树形和象征意义都暗含了一种遗世独立的闲散境界。在这个项目中，抽象的、具象的、介于抽象与具象的景观空间便可传递出一种诗意的生活涌动。
