45 reminisces the classic Vinyl Player, maintaining its iconic affordance while translating it to a modern artefact. Similarly to the Vinyl Player, the angled protrusion (’Tone-Arm’) of 45 invites the user to give a slight press. The speaker which is connected via Bluetooth starts playing music. The speaker powers off when the ‘Tone-Arm’ is retracted. This subtle feature prompts and reminds the user to interact with 45 like the vinyl player.
