We started the design assuming it would be produced in a factory specializing in making Windsor chairs. A traditional Windsor chair structure is generally assembled by inserting rounded back and leg parts into a solid wood seat. We aimed to dispel this image and create an iconic and uncomplicated shape. By making each part a simple shape to improve efficiency, making it possible to cut out the parts from the standard material thickness, we enhanced cost performance with a minimum amount of material. ウィンザーチェアの製作を得意とした工場での生産を前提にデザインがスタートしました。伝統的なウィンザーチェアの構造は無垢の座面に丸く加工した背や脚のパーツを差し込んで組み立てるのが一般的です。そのイメージを払拭し、アイコニックで明快な形状を目指しました。カフェやレストランの為にデザインしたこのチェアは、単体で完成された美しさではなく複数脚並べることで空間そのものが絵になる椅子です。木の無垢材ならではの魅力を活かせる幅の広いパーツと座面など薄いパーツの組み合わせでコントラストをつけました。背もたれ部分は無駄をそぎ落としたT型の明快なラインに必要な機能を集約させました。独特の個性を持ちジャンルにとらわれない新しいチェアです。パーツ一つ一つを単純な形状にすることで効率化し、規格の材料の厚みから切り出せるようにすることで最小限の材料でコストパフォーマンスの向上も実現しました。商品URL：https://seiarrows.com/product/series/MILLET/
