We divide our lives between the spaces of home and the outside, moving restlessly between the two. ‘INTERVAL’ is a coat rack that offers a brief pause within that boundary. Inspired by the simplified form of a bus stop, it visualizes the in-between time of movement. Its folded aluminum layers and double-sided connecting bolts reinterpret the structural rhythm of a bus stop. By replacing welding with bolted joints, the piece highlights aluminum’s sharp texture and calm order. In the fleeting act of hanging a coat, setting down belongings and catching one’s breath, the user reorganizes themselves and experiences a psychological shift.

우리는 공간을 ‘집’과 ‘밖’으로 나누고 그 사이를 쉴 틈 없이 이동하며 살아갑니다. ‘INTERVAL’은 그 경계에 머무는 잠깐의 여백을 제안하는 코트랙입니다. 우리가 늘 잠시 멈추는 장소인 정류장의 측면을 단순화한 조형 언어를 차용해, 이동 시간 사이의 여백을 시각화했습니다. 절곡된 알루미늄 레이어 구조와 양방향 커넥팅 볼트 체결 방식을 활용해 정류장의 형태적 특성을 재해석했습니다. 용접 대신 볼트 체결을 통해 알루미늄이 가진 선명한 재질감과 안정된 구조미를 드러냅니다. 외투를 걸고 물건을 내려두는 찰나의 행위 속에서 사용자는 마치 정류장에서 잠시 정비를 하듯, 잠시 멈추어 숨을 고르고 스스로를 재정비하는 심리적 전환을 경험합니다.
