English	Spotiway by Spotify is tailored for Seoul's 250,000 blind subway commuters dealing with challenges like noisy announcements among 4.5 million daily riders. For 37.7% of these commuters, focusing on announcements is particularly taxing. Spotiway uses GPS to track users' locations, allowing them to relax with music until their destination approaches. As they near their stop, the music fades, replaced by a vibration and announcement signaling preparation for disembarkation. This innovative feature aims to significantly enhance the subway experience for blind individuals, making it both enjoyable and less strenuous.
Native	서울 지하철의 일일 평균 이용객 수는 약 450만 명으로, 그 중 소음 때문에 약 25만 명의 시각장애인이 안내 방송을 듣기 어려워하는 문제가 있습니다. 비장애인 승객의 56.3%는 음악을 들으며 휴식을 취하지만, 37.7%의 시각장애인은 안내 방송에 집중해야 해 피로감을 느낍니다. 시각장애인들은 중요한 안내 방송을 놓칠 수 없기에, 음악을 듣거나 다른 활동을 하며 휴식을 취하는 것이 어렵습니다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 spotify의 Spotiway 모드가 도입되었습니다. 시각장애인 사용자는 출발지와 목적지를 입력하면 Spotiway가 GPS를 통해 위치를 추적합니다. 이를 통해 사용자는 음악을 들으며 휴식을 취할 수 있습니다. 목적지 근처에 도착하면 음악이 서서히 멈추고 진동과 함께 안내 방송이 나와 하차를 준비할 수 있습니다. 이는 시각장애인들이 음악을 들으며 휴식을 취하면서도 목적지에 정확히 도착할 수 있도록 도와줍니다. Spotiway는 시각장애인들에게 지하철 이용을 더 편리하고 즐겁게 만들어, 피로한 도전이 아닌 쾌적한 경험으로 바꾸어줍니다. 이 새로운 기능은 시각장애인들이 지하철 이용 시 겪는 불편함을 크게 줄여주며, 더 나아가 비장애인들도 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 서비스로 자리 잡을 것입니다.
