KITTE no Mori: Winter Forest Christmas – Gifts from Nature” transformed the KITTE atrium into a serene winter forest inspired by “Connecting.” Snow on the fir branches was recreated with extreme precision, capturing the texture and light of real snow. A pure white 12-meter tree and recycled “Mildan” snowflakes shaped a gentle winter scene. With an original “Forest Orchestra” musical piece and daily show, visitors created personal memories through sound and light. Designed from the visitor’s perspective, the project aimed to deliver a truly Christmassy experience that brings joy across ages and borders.

「KITTEの森 Winter Forest Christmas ～自然からの贈り物～」は、「つなぐ」をテーマに、日本の森の美しさと未来への想いを表現したクリスマスインスタレーションです。アトリウムには純白の森を思わせる空間が広がり、来場者は幻想的な冬景色の中で自然の大切さに触れる体験を作りあげました。期間中には音と光が響き合うショーも行われ、白い森が七色に移ろうドラマチックな演出が、人々に季節の温もりと自然の力強さを感じさせました。本プロジェクトがもうひとつ大切にしたのは、“クリスマスらしいクリスマス空間”を来場者の視点から丁寧にデザインすることです。コロナ禍の出口が見え始めた時期、多くの人が求めていた「心が満たされる体験」を形にするため、国や世代を超えて共有できる普遍的な喜びを空間に込めました。子どもから大人まで、誰もが笑顔になれる場所をつくり、世界中の人々へ祝福の気持ちを届けるクリスマスを目指しました。
