Kinmen is an outlying island of Taiwan known for its unique cultural landscape. This project centers on preserving and promoting Kinmen’s Western-style houses, built in the 1920s by returning overseas merchants. Through field research, interviews, and architectural surveys, we documented over 100 buildings. The result is a double-sided interactive pop-up book: the front reconstructs 3D structures of the buildings; the back features hand-drawn illustrations of 27 houses in five styles. We further applied architectural motifs to cultural products and digital media, encouraging wider engagement with Kinmen’s heritage.

金門不只有軍人、菜刀跟高粱。
金門有三大特色：閩南、戰地跟僑鄉文化，而其中僑鄉文化在金門的代表：『洋樓』，其實在島上就有百餘棟、卻因管理問題而每年都在倒塌，因此我們希望透過設計使該議題被更多人看見，我們對當地百餘棟的洋樓以及當地居民進行調查，並將最終結果以設計策略分為兩部分；文化保存與行銷推廣，並在文化保存上著重在三個重點上：立體建築之美、裝飾與歷史特色，並個別用立體書、圖鑑以及影片的方式來呈現
本書為為佛經折裝雙面呈現的立體書與洋樓圖鑑，立體書透過記錄當地具有代表性的黃輝煌洋樓，用貼近當地的方式去重現洋樓僑鄉文化特色，並以立體的紙張結構呈現從外觀、裝飾元素、建築形式以及防盜設施等特色，背後的洋樓圖鑑則是收錄了27棟具代表性的洋樓並以建築形式分類，加上歷史故事與建造年份、建造人等等資訊，並以故事介紹影片講述了洋樓的建造背景、保存現況等知識，一共八集，每集以的一分鐘短片來介紹，目的在透過設計能讓更遠的人們也能認識金門洋樓的趣味。
而行銷方面我們針對洋樓設計了多款文創商品，包含：花磚巧克力、洋樓蠟燭、立體卡片等與當地建立連結，並與當地知名古蹟『北山古洋樓』背包客棧合作，經營當地創生基地並舉辦活動，以書籍、影片作為教材與當地推廣教育，持續的推廣金門洋樓的文化特色。
