Prof. Apex Lin, Pang-Soong
Apex Lin, Pang-Soong is one of Taiwan's most respected figures in visual communication design. He currently serves as Chair Professor at the Department of Visual Communication Design at Asia University, Taiwan, and is an Emeritus Professor at the Department of Design, National Taiwan Normal University. As the founder of the Taiwan Image Poster Design Association in 1991 and former President of the Taiwan Design Alliance (2016–2020), he has played a central role in shaping the identity of Taiwanese design. His global impact includes serving as a Board Member of ICOGRADA (2001–2003), and receiving numerous prestigious honors, including the National Award for Arts from Taiwan's National Culture and Arts Foundation (2007), the Education Achievement Award from ICOGRADA (2011), Grand Prize of the Design for Asia Award from the Hong Kong Design Centre (2018), the Honor Laureate from the Colorado International Poster Exhibition (2022), and the Cultural Collaboration Medal from Taiwan's Ministry of Culture (2023). His lifelong dedication to design education and international collaboration has made him a true pioneer and cultural bridge in the global design community.
