Prof. Euiyoung Chun
Eui-Young Chun is the president of the Korean Institute of Architects (K.I.A.) and a professor in the Department of Architecture at Kyonggi University. Since 2019, he has been working for the Seoul Metropolitan City Government as the Director General for the Seoul Architecture Festival. He served as the Director General of Gwangju Folly III, an exemplary model of public participation in an urban architecture project with the theme of everydayness in the city. This project was awarded the Presidential Prize for the Excellence of Space Culture by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2017. Chun received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Seoul National University and a master’s degree from Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. from Seoul National University. In 2009, he also served as the Director General of the Seoul Design Olympiad for Seoul City."
