Chul-Hwee Kim has accumulated extensive experience over the past 15 years in various fields of visual communication, including graphic design, brand identity, artwork, and font design. Although based in South Korea, he strives to present designs that balance cultural context and technological innovation, resonating not only in East Asia but also on the global stage. VBstudio's work focuses on visually expressing the authenticity and stories of brands, aiming to naturally foster empathy for a brand's values through design. Since its establishment in 2016, VBstudio has gained wide-ranging experience in building brand identities, developing graphic design systems, and formulating visual communication strategies through projects such as the branding of BTS's WINGS album. Additionally, through the rebranding of the Asia Design Prize, VBstudio symbolically incorporated representations of the earth, humanity, and Asia within simple forms, effectively conveying the competition's commitment to fairness and a human-centered ethos.
김철휘는 지난 15년간 그래픽 디자인, 브랜드 아이덴티티, 아트웍, 폰트 디자인 등 다양한 시각 커뮤니케이션 분야에서 경험을 쌓아왔다. 한국을 기반으로 활동하지만 동아시아는 물론 글로벌 무대에서도 문화적 배경과 기술적 혁신을 균형 있게 담아낸 디자인을 제안하려 노력하고 있다. VB스튜디오의 작업은 브랜드의 진정성과 이야기를 시각적으로 풀어내어, 사람들이 디자인을 통해 자연스럽게 브랜드의 가치에 공감하도록 하는 데 초점을 둔다. VBstudio는 2016년 설립 이후 방탄소년단 ‘WINGS’ 앨범 브랜딩을 비롯한 다양한 프로젝트를 통해 브랜드 아이덴티티 구축, 그래픽 디자인 시스템 개발, 비주얼 커뮤니케이션 전략 수립 등 폭넓은 경험을 쌓아왔다. 또한 ‘아시아 디자인 프라이즈(Asia Design Prize)’의 리브랜딩 작업을 통해 단순한 형태 속에 지구, 인간, 아시아를 상징적으로 담아내며, 공정하고 사람을 위한 대회를 지향하는 메시지를 전달했다.
