CEO. Jin-Kyu Jang
Dr. Jin-Kyu Jang, as a cognitive scientist, human-computer interaction researcher, and startup investor, has been at the forefront of user-centric innovation. He is the chairman of Companoid Labs, a UX innovation holding company focused on building Next Generation Companies through early-stage startup incubation. The company also leads UX-oriented problem-solving for big tech firms' new businesses, championing partnership-based corporate innovation. Dr. Jang has established two subsidiaries: Companion AI, an AI interface technology company, and CIT, a HCI research firm. In the early 2000s, during the dot-com boom, Dr. Jang founded the startup Iznation Networks, which he successfully exited through M&A within three years. He then pursued academic studies in robotics and computer science, earning a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction. As a startup investor, he has invested in 49 startups both domestically and internationally. He served as an Operating Partner at Asia2G Capital, a Silicon Valley VC, and as a partner at DHP, a startup investment firm, where he invested in over 40 startups. Dr. Jang's professional experience includes roles as a future technology advisor at Samsung Electronics DMC Research Institute and as the head of the HCI research lab at the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology. His contributions to the industry have been recognized with ministerial commendations from the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2020 and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2024.
