Danny Geurtsen is a Senior Visual Effects Artist working in the entertainment industry. Over the past 23 years he has worked on blockbuster films from some of the most famous Hollywood directors in the world, such as James Cameron, Alfonso Cuaron, Jon Favreau and Ridley Scott. His long career history includes titles such as The Harry Potter series, Avengers, Children of Men, The Martian and Alien: Covenant. A number of projects he was a part of went on to win the Oscar and BAFTA for best Visual Effects, including Avatar, Gravity and The Jungle Book, as well as an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a TV mini series. He currently resides in Tokyo where he shares his Hollywood film making experience, design and technology skills with one of the leading game developers in the industry. Danny’s passion is designing and creating visions of worlds that set free the observer’s imagination. His next career goal is contributing to the education and training of the next generation of CG film makers and story tellers.
