President Lee Minhyoung
Lee Min-hyoung is a professor of Visual Communication Design at Induk University and a leading figure in contemporary Korean design. With a career spanning journalism, education, and organizational leadership, he brings over two decades of experience to the field. Prior to entering academia, he spent 20 years at The Chosun Ilbo, where he led the design team of Weekly Chosun and shaped the visual identity of one of Korea’s most influential media publications. In 2018, he transitioned to academia as a professor at Induk University, where he has since dedicated himself to educating the next generation of designers, emphasizing a balanced foundation of professional practice and design theory. Alongside his academic work, he has played key leadership roles in major Korean design organizations, serving as Vice President of the Planning Division at the Korea Brand Design Association (BDAK) and Vice President of the Academic Education Division at the Korea Visual Information Design Association (VIDAK). He currently serves as President of the Korea Ensemble of Contemporary Design Association (KECD). In this role, he is widely recognized for his strategic vision, professionalism, and commitment to advancing contemporary Korean design, actively shaping the direction and future of the national design community.
