The sustainable water purification and flood control sandbag uses a high-density sponge material inside to quickly absorb the floodwater in, and at the same time, the polluted floodwater will be purified by the sewage purifier under the sandbag. Finally, the polluted flood water will be converted into a clean and hygienic drinking water source. This design effectively solves the problems of slow water absorption, low drainage efficiency, and difficult transportation of traditional sandbags, provides hygienic drinking water resources for the disaster-stricken people, improves the living environment conditions of post-disaster areas.

在洪灾发生时，传统的防洪沙袋使用步骤过于繁琐，需要在使用前填充泥沙，填充泥沙后会导致沙袋重量大幅度增加，严重影响运输和防洪效率。其次在洪灾后，污水倒灌进入城市供水系统，导致供水系统被各种细菌、污水污染，无法在灾后为受灾用户提供干净的饮用水，严重威胁到了用户的生命健康。为受灾人群提供卫生的饮水资源，提高灾后生存环境条件，保障了受灾人员的灾后生理和心理的健康。 因此防洪净水沙袋通过在沙袋中放置高密度压缩海绵，使得沙袋不仅可以快速吸水，同时海绵重量较轻，用户可以将沙袋折叠压缩起来，便于快速运输。沙袋中的污水通过内置的净水装置进行过滤，用户在沙袋下方的出水口获取干净的饮用水。 沙袋制作材料选用可持续材料，在保证沙袋防洪性能的条件下，最大化降低生产成本和制作工艺难度，使得每一位用户都有能力购买此沙袋。全球每年爆发大量洪水灾害，很多地区缺少防护设施和医疗健康保障。防洪净水沙袋可以大幅度提升受灾地区的防洪能力，减少受灾地区经济损失，全面保障灾后的饮水卫生。最终实现社会、环境、经济的可持续发展。
