“Weather in Nexen” is a project that reports Nexen news in the format of a weather forecast. As people increasingly prefer short and concise content over long and detailed ones, this project combines features of short-form and interactivity to captivate the audience. It encapsulates Nexen Tire’s new design philosophy, “Ultimate Sensual, Timeless Movement.” As an innovative approach to express news differently, six unique weather categories deliver various news updates. This allows people to experience a different kind of change and generate interest in Nexen Tire’s distinctive and unique design philosophy.

WEATHER IN NEXEN은 넥센 타이어의 소식을 일기예보의 형식으로 보도하는 프로젝트이다. 긴 내용의 글이나 콘텐츠를 거부하고 짧고 간결한 내용을 선호하는 이른바 장문 기피 현상이 늘어나는 요즘, 숏폼과 인터렉티브의 요소를 결합시킨 프로젝트를 통해 사람들이 긴 내용에도 흥미를 느끼고 몰입할 수 있는 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 넥센타이어는 2023년 ‘Ultimate Sensual, Timeless Movement’와 그 아래 “Dynamics”, “Essence”, “Refineness”라는 세 가지 가치체계를 가지고 있는 디자인 철학을 새롭게 확립하였다. 본 프로젝트에서는 각각 다른 소식을 전하는 6개의 날씨 카테고리를 설정하여 지금까지 넥센타이어가 뉴스를 전하던 고전적인 방식을 타파하는 새로운 표현방법을 시도하고자 하였다. 그래서 넥센타이어의 소식을 듣는 사람으로 하여금 색다른 변화를 느낄 수 있게 만들어 흥미를 이끌어내어 넥센타이어의 차별화된 디자인 철학에 관한 다양한 내용을 미디어에 담고자 하였다.
