<READ THE CITY> is an urban regeneration symposium that considers the meaning and promotes interest by examining the process of urban regeneration in four regions. Using the characteristics of urban regeneration, which allows the aging city to regain space according to the unique characteristics of the region, the past does not completely disappear, and the city regeneration that harmonizes the current development resembles Decalcomanie structure. In it, dots gathered to shape the process of urban regeneration into motifs of each region, and expressed graphics that collaged the representative images and buildings of the region.

<READ THE CITY>는 4개의 지역의 도시재생이 어떻게 이루어졌고 변화해왔으며, 그 기억의 기록들을 알아봄으로써 도시재생의 의미를 생각하고 관심을 도모하는 도시재생 심포지움입니다. 도시는 일상생활을 영위하는 단순한 공간이 아닌, 문화적 기억과 흔적을 고스란히 드러내는 공간이자 지금의 모습을 만들어낸 장소입니다. 그러나 도시가 노후화 되면서 '도시재생'을 통해 사용하지 않았던 공간을 하나의 지역자원으로 인식하여 지역 고유의 특성에 맞춰 사회문화적, 경제적으로 새로운 가치를 부여하고 잃어버린 공간을 다시 찾게 해줍니다. 이러한 특징을 이용하여 과거의 모습이 완전히 사라지지 않고, 현재의 발전된 모습을 조화롭게 보여주는 도시재생의 모습이 마치 데칼코마니의 대칭적인 구조와 닮아있다고 보았습니다. 그 안에 도시재생이 이루어지는 과정을 '점'이 모여 각 지역 모티브들로 형상화하고, 지역의 대표 모습들과 건물들을 콜라주한 그래픽을 대입하여 표현하였습니다.
