During a journey, smartphone screens interrupt experiences with attention-driven content, ads, and notifications that fragment focus. COMMA reduces this by addressing route uncertainty and the need to record moments without using a phone screen. It combines a camera module for recording and a tactile map module for navigation. The clip- and keyring-compatible camera captures photos and videos without activating the phone screen, while the compass-inspired tactile map module uses a tilting disc and haptic feedback to convey direction, distance, and navigation accuracy through touch, enabling deeper immersion in the journey.

우리는 여정 도중에 다양한 이유로 휴대폰을 확인하고 있습니다. 이 과정에서 앱 알림과 시선을 끌도록 설계된 컨텐츠, 많은 광고들은 긴 호흡으로 이루어지는 경험의 연결을 끊고 우리의 주의를 파편화하여 사고의 흐름을 끊습니다. <COMMA>는 휴대폰 스크린을 보는 여러 이유 중 '경로 궁금증에서 만들어지는 얕은 불안'과, '여정 기록의 욕구'에 초점을 두고 만들어졌습니다. <COMMA>는 촉감으로 읽는 지도 모듈과 카메라 모듈을 통해서 휴대폰 스크린의 시각적 방해에서 벗어나도록 하며 경험 자체에 집중할 수 있도록 돕는 디바이스입니다. 여정의 기록을 담당하는 상단 카메라 모듈과 길 안내를 담당하는 하단 촉감지도 모듈이 합쳐진 구조로, 클립 구조와 키링 장착이 가능한 구조를 적용한 카메라 모듈은 다양한 착용 위치에서 휴대폰 카메라 대신 사진과 영상을 기록하며, 촬영을 위해 폰 스크린을 켜게 되는 것을 방지함과 동시에 기록의 욕구를 충족시킵니다. 나침반에서 영감을 얻은 촉감 지도 모듈은 항상 목적지 방향으로 기울어져 있는 원판과 햅틱 피드백을 활용해 사용자의 손을 통해 방향 정보와 거리감각, 현재 가는 방향이 맞고 틀림을 알 수 있도록 합니다.
