DESIGNER. SANGWOO CHO
DENMARK / JABRA
Sangwoo Cho is a Senior CMF designer at Jabra in Copenhagen, Denmark. With a professional career focused on innovative design in industries such as mobile, smart wearable, and IoT products, he has worked for companies including Samsung, Sony, and Sony Ericsson. Having accumulated substantial design experience in top-tier global companies based in Korea, Japan, Sweden, and Denmark, Sangwoo Cho earned his master's degree in industrial design from Hongik University and a bachelor's degree from Seoul National University of Science & Technology in Korea. Beyond his role as a designer, he is actively engaged as a content creator, serving as an author, columnist, photographer, and illustrator, contributing to Scandinavian design through various channels.
현재 북유럽 덴마크에서 산업 디자이너로 일하고 있다. 지금까지 삼성전자, Sony, Sony Ericsson, HP, Whirlpool 등 전세계 글로벌 기업들로부터 오퍼를 받으며 산업 디자인 분야에서 활발히 활동하고 있다. 삼성 플래그십 모델인 갤럭시 초기 디자인 등의 다양한 프로젝트에 참여하였고 삼성디자인 부문 공적상, 사업부장상 등을 수상했다. 북유럽 디자인씬으로 자리를 옮긴 후 소니 에릭슨과 소니 노르딕 디자인센터에서 스마트 웨어러블 과제를 성공적으로 이끌며 IF어워드, 레드닷 등에서 여러차례 수상했다. 한국, 일본, 스웨덴 그리고 덴마크의 글로벌 기업의 경험을 바탕으로 홍익대, 연세대, 한국디자인진흥원, 미국 SCAD, 글로벌 디자인 멘토링 등에서 특강 및 세미나를 진행한 바 있다. 그는 산업 디자이너인 동시에 작가, 저널리스트, 사진가, 일러스트레이터로도 활동한다. <스칸디나비아 디자인 이야기>, <북유럽 디자이너 토크>, <북유럽을 그리다>, <북유럽 디자이너의 포토에세이> 등의 다양한 포맷으로 컬럼, 일러스트, 사진작업을 기고하고 있다. 또한 북유럽 최대 디자인 행사인 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen 의 공식 프레스로도 활동 중이다. 저서로는 <디자인 천국에 간 디자이너 / 시공사 2019> 가 있다.
