Prof. Shingo Ando
Shingo Ando graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and received a master's degree in design from the graduate school. After serving as a professor of product design at Kyoto Seika University, he became a professor at Kyoto Art and Crafts University. His specialties include office space, commercial space, interior design for living spaces, furniture design, and the field of craft design. He has also served as the vice president of the Japan Interior Designers’ Association (JID) and as an official of the Kansai Interior Planner Association; furthermore, he is actively involved in society. In recent years, he has taken on the role of a creative director to revitalize the traditional Japanese local industry. Additionally, he emphasizes the cultivation of traditional crafts and has released products based on "Japanese aesthetic sense" at events such as Milano Salone, Paris Design Week, Shanghai Design Center, and others.
