Bearing the concept that takes home space as a container for life and daily background, the techniques such as the use of materials either in the same or different shades of gray colors, reflections, penetration and changes of material texture are applied. Attached shadow, shading and cast shadow interact with each other through the chemistry between natural light and the arrangements of indoor lighting.

「所有自然的材料，山峰、溪流、空氣和我們的存在都是由光組成的，這些褶皺的量體就是材質的投影，也因此陰影屬於光的一部分。」- Louis Kahn 在最初與屋主相談時，對於未來家的想像希望是以低彩度的灰階色系為整體主要搭配選項，除了夫妻本身喜歡空間純粹的表情，未來添購傢俱、生活道具抑或是一本隨手放置的雜誌書籍都不會造成感受上的干擾。公共性的黑到私領域的白 20坪的整體空間下捨棄了傳統的電視牆面，讓屬於公領域的視聽、收納與餐廚料理合併為家中軸心，以低反射的黑色作為背景讓相關設備融入其中。而天地壁的灰色作為連結全室”之間”的介質，則在進入臥室內後轉為定義私領域屬性的白色。空間作為生活的容器以及日常背景的概念前提下，我們利用同與不同的灰度色階材質、反射穿透、材質肌理等差異，透過自然光線和室內照明配置讓附著陰影、表面明暗和投影三種不同狀態交互作用，在公私領域流動的過程中經由天花高程的收縮變化、細部的進出翻折以及材質透明度、折射與反射性質差異，讓光線能夠傳達給予居住者多樣且沉靜的感受。
